This weblog is dedicated to anyone who has ever been bullied or victimized for being a free-thinking individual. The “It Better Get Better” space is a virtual environment originally created as a senior capstone research project in Rhetoric and Composition Studies. The idea is to help the world get better by raising awareness and spreading love as an empowered media outlet and student of English, Feminism, Gender Studies, the Humanities, and Rhetoric.
“I have always been passionate about civil rights and equality. Since my trip to Harvey Milk’s camera shop in the Castro, San Francisco, my inner activist stirred, and, immediately, I wanted to do something to cry out in regard to recent teen suicides. I have long been inspired by the It Gets Better Project and its inspirational videos. More writer/musician than video-blogger, I decided to create this virtual space to share writings and sound collages in the name of love and survival. Here, I can talk about all the things that interest me with like-minded, free-thinking individuals like me. It Better Get Better!” -Matthew S. McQueen (@TeoMcQueen)
